Oggi Professional Services adds Sales focused division to meet client demand

Helping Twin Cities’ businesses address a tight labor market with successful career connections

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN., October 26, 2017 – Oggi Professional Services announced today that they are expanding their services to include a sales focused division, comprised of a team of experts offering Twin Cities businesses 50+ years of collective staffing and recruiting experience. This is critical in a tight labor market where making the wrong hiring decision or keeping an open seat negatively impacts your bottom line for longer than ever before.

“A snapshot of client demand exposed a gap in the market and a desire for Oggi to facilitate career connections for the evolving Twin Cities sales community,” said Sean Keating, founder and CEO of Oggi Professional Services. “For eight years we have been entrusted by clients to help develop the teams that analyze and manage their revenue. It was the natural progression to support our clients with staffing solutions that contribute to their top-line revenue growth. Every one of our clients needs a good salesperson.”

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics1 the Twin Cities has one of highest levels of employment as well as the highest average wages for sales roles in Midwest metropolitan areas. These factors combined with Minnesota’s 3.7 percent unemployment rate2 has created a supply and demand issue, making it difficult for companies to acquire top sales talent. Leaving sales roles open for too long has an adverse effect on top-line sales growth causing bottom line reduction for Twin Cities businesses.

Finding the right person to lead Oggi’s first expansion of services into sales was critical in order to meet client needs while maintaining the level of excellence those working with Oggi have come to expect from the firm. Rob Wegscheid joined Oggi in 2016 with 14 years of staffing experience and a background leading sales teams. He was quickly promoted to lead this effort.

“Rob has an uncanny knack for understanding salespeople. He is without a doubt, the right choice to support our clients in their goals for growth.” said Keating.

“Clients were calling asking Oggi to step outside of our established accounting and finance niche,” said Rob Wegscheid, director of permanent placement sales at Oggi. “They trust our expertise and ability to leverage our knowledge of the Twin Cities marketplace to find top sales talent quickly and efficiently.”

The team’s first placement wasn’t just a coup for Oggi’s newly developed sales team, it was also an exciting partnership and collaboration for Human Resources Manager, Kristy Brass.

“Given the tight labor market I was not expecting quick results, and even more hesitant that initial candidates would actually hit the mark in terms of quality and experience,” said Brass. “Oggi presented not only one, but two qualified candidates in a very short time frame. By exceeding my expectations and finding us a great employee, they are now a preferred partner and I look forward to working with them again.”

Filling out the team, Brad Gilbertson and Bryan Aitkens were added as business development Managers. Both join the Oggi family with extensive recruiting backgrounds, industry experience and the passion and integrity to deliver results. Today it’s onward and upward for Oggi’s burgeoning sales team, helping organizations address evolving issues with successful sales solutions and career connections needed in today’s tight labor market.
