The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving short-term and long-term revenue by profiling, targeting, identifying, and meeting with qualified customers to obtain Consulting, Direct Hire, and Executive Search opportunities. In addition, this position is responsible for managing the customer relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and maximize return on investment.


Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Engages industry hiring managers to increase customer base by completing calls, networking, discovery conversations, and providing long-term value-add staffing services
  • Develops a detailed written profile of the customer organization and its various departmental units
  • Translates customer needs into mutual business opportunities
  • Establishes appropriate networking relationships to enhance sales referral opportunities
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the business environment within the territory and surrounding area
  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding various sales objectives to grow revenue
  • Follows-up with customers to ensure Oggi Professional Services is providing “level 5” service 
  • Capitalizes on new selling opportunities with existing customers
  • Establishes and maintains the role of Solution Provider to new and existing customers 
  • Maintains customer files by appropriately updating profile information, proposals, correspondence, etc.
  • Educates customers on trends in the industry
  • Secures detailed job orders 
  • Prospects through involvement in community and civic organizations
  • Communicates customer needs to the recruiting team to ensure understanding of the customer’s expectations
  • Utilizes activity reports and adjust sales strategies to ensure expectations are met/exceeded
  • Monitors competitive activity and, in coordination with manager, develops marketing strategies to increase market share
  • Interacts daily with operations team and coordinate meetings between customers and operations group
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Consultative salesperson with the PASSION and willingness to help prospects and clients solve problems
  • Possess a level of GRIT to move through adversity with strategic solutions 
  • Focus on getting to defined RESULTS with the best intentions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute against a business plan
  • Proficient use of MS Office Tools and ATS experience
  • Exceptional communication skills with C-Level executives with the ability to “read the room”
  • 2+ years of sales experience required
  • Finance and Accounting experience preferred

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be substituted for any element of education or experience listed above.
